Liverpool Cathedral: my favourite cathedral - I was bowled over by it on a recent visit to the city. The scale of the building is massive, dominating the Liverpool skyline. The internal space is huge with many fascinating aspects to photograph. My favourite picture, bottom left, is a simple compostition: the base of the enormous stained glass west window where it joins the stonework that ‘hides’ the radiator. The backlighting gives a warm, almost mysterious quality. |
