Westminster Cathedral: this is a wonderful and mysterious but calm place, dark, yet full of colour. Its Byzantine style is quite a contrast to the Gothic architecture of other cathedrals. My favourite photograph from this building (above centre) is a statue which, as is the practice, was covered until Easter Day by a large pink cloth. Digitally enhanced, it made a fascinating image, which some may think a little spooky or ‘off-the-wall’. |
