Irises in bloom - photographed by Steve Gold

I love photographing flowers, and try to capture both their elegance and colour. Many of the images have been taken in my garden, such as the aquilegia and lavatera. This year I waited patiently for the irises to bloom, knowing they would be very photogenic.

I have made some of the images into digital art and I enjoy seeing the results and the fantastic, exotic effects that result. Some work but some don’t. I feel now that when I take a photo, I know whether it will take to being ‘changed’ on the computer.
